In addition to measuring your internet and Wi-Fi speed, Cluck-o-Meter also analyzes advanced performance metrics that can affect how fast websites load on your connection.
DNS lookup measures how quickly your device resolves a website’s domain name to an IP address. Slow DNS can delay website loading even if your internet speed is high.
TTFB shows how fast a server responds after a request is made. Lower TTFB usually means faster server response and snappier page starts.
First Contentful Paint measures how quickly content appears on screen, which directly affects perceived page load speed.
Fetch time tracks how long it takes to load images, scripts, and other assets. This helps diagnose slow pages beyond raw download speed.
Website loading speed depends on latency, DNS resolution, and server response time — not just download speed. A fast Mbps score can still feel slow if latency or DNS is high.
